Delhi Nursing Council renewal
Two of the council's rules decide whether renewal is even possible for you, and they catch people out constantly. Read these two before anything else.
- Who it is for
- “Renewal will only be done for the nurses who are employed in the state of Delhi.” You will need proof of being employed in Delhi for the last one year.
- Validity
- “Renewal of Registration will be done for 5 years.”
- Credit hours
- 30 credit hours per year — 150 hours in 5 years — gained by attending continuing education programmes and workshops.
- Aadhaar
- “AADHAAR CARD IS MANDATORY.”
- Where you apply
- Online, at delhinursingcouncil.in
- Passport photograph and signature
- 10th and 12th certificates
- Mark sheets for all three or four years
- Diploma or degree certificate
- DNC registration certificate — front and back
- CNE certificates covering your credit hours
- Proof of being employed in Delhi for the last one year
- Aadhaar card
GST at 18% applies to DNC fees and services with effect from 12 August 2023, per the council's fee page. If you are not employed in Delhi, renewal is not available to you and we will tell you so rather than take your money — we cannot create or arrange an employment document, ever.

CNE credit hours — what actually counts
The credit-hours requirement is where most renewals stall. The council's CNE policy sets out what it will accept.
- Category A — open live activities
- Category B — live internal activities
- Category C — self-study, including accredited distance-learning programmes such as the Indian Nursing Council's e-learning modules, the Government of India nursing and midwifery portal, TNAI and Medscape
- “A maximum of 6 Credit hours per day may be granted”
- “Educational activities of less than 1 day total duration are not accredited”
We help you plan and evidence credit hours you have genuinely earned. We will not produce a credit-hours record for education you did not do — that is a fabricated document, and it puts your registration at risk far more than a delayed renewal does.

NOC and transfer out of Delhi
This is the single most misunderstood thing we get asked about. Here is what the Delhi Nursing Council's own NOC page says.

- Do you have to visit the council?
- “NO PHYSICAL VISIT IS REQUIRED IN DELHI NURSING COUNCIL. CANDIDATE SHALL SEND DOCUMENTS AND DD BY POST.”
- What you post
- Your original Delhi Nursing Council registration certificate, the NOC confirmation page, and one recent photograph.
- How long the council takes
- “The council takes Fifteen to Thirty days to issue the letter of NOC.” It goes to the receiving council, with a copy to you by email.
Fifteen to thirty days is the council's own figure for issuing the NOC, not a promise from us, and it is not the total time for your transfer — the receiving council then has its own process. We cannot speed either council up, and nobody who tells you otherwise can.

Moving your registration into Delhi
The council's fee list includes re-registration for RN/RM at ₹1,000. The step-by-step inbound procedure is a different matter.
We have not published the inbound steps here because the council does not set them out on the pages we verified, and guessing them from how transfers out of Delhi work would be exactly the kind of assumption that wastes your money. We confirm the current procedure with the council for your case before quoting you.

What we do
- Work out which service and which council your case actually needs
- Give you a document checklist built for your case, not a generic list
- Prepare and check your application before anything is submitted
- File on the official portal using your own login, with your approval of everything first
- Follow up where we can, and tell you what has changed on WhatsApp
What we never do
- Create, alter, arrange or sign any document or certificate — including employment certificates
- Guarantee approval, a timeline, or what a council will decide
- Attend in-person, biometric, signature or original-document verification in your place
- Contact a council pretending to be you, or present ourselves as a government office
If anyone offers you these things for a fee, that is worth walking away from — whoever they are.
Important: Government authorities may ask applicants to personally appear for verification, original document verification, biometric verification, signature verification or additional requirements at any stage. MPDS India cannot replace the applicant where personal appearance is mandatory.
