Tax deducted at source

If you have bought a property, pay a high rent, or run a business that deducts tax from what it pays out, TDS is a filing of its own — separate from your return, with its own dates.

TDS ka kaam — property, kiraya ya business.

Buying a property above ₹50 lakh

The buyer deducts 1% and pays it to the government with Form 26QB, then gives the seller a Form 16B. You do not need a TAN for it — your PAN is enough — and it is the buyer’s job, not the seller’s or the builder’s.

The money goes from your own bank account to the government. It never comes to us.

What we will never do

  • Invent a deduction, a donation or a rent receipt
  • File anything before you have seen it and said yes
  • Take government tax or fees into our own account
  • Promise you a refund, or how long the department will take
  • Handle a tax audit without a Chartered Accountant — by law, only they can

If anyone offers you these things for a fee, that is worth walking away from — whoever they are. Any tax, interest or government fee on your case is paid by you to the government, never to us.

We publish what these pages say and link to them so you can read them yourself. Tax rules and portal pages change; if a link has moved or a figure has changed, tell us and we will check it.
