What this usually involves
General to this journey across India. Your council’s own requirements are what we confirm before quoting you.
- All three are handled by the council you are registered with.
- A name change usually needs the document that caused it — a marriage certificate or a gazette notification.
- An additional qualification is entered against your existing registration, and councils generally only enter recognised ones.
- A duplicate certificate normally needs an affidavit, and sometimes a police report.
MPDS India prepares and checks these applications. We never sign an affidavit or a declaration on your behalf — it is your statement, and one made by somebody else is worth nothing to you.
What we do

- Give you a document checklist built for your case, not a generic list
- Prepare and check your application before anything is submitted
- File on the official portal using your own login, with your approval of everything first
- Follow up where we can, and tell you what has changed on WhatsApp
What we never do
- Create, alter, arrange or sign any document or certificate — including employment certificates
- Guarantee approval, a timeline, or what a council will decide
- Attend in-person, biometric, signature or original-document verification in your place
- Contact a council pretending to be you, or present ourselves as a government office
If anyone offers you these things for a fee, that is worth walking away from — whoever they are.
What it costs
Quoted after we check your case. Our service fee and the council’s fee are always two separate amounts — the council’s is paid by you, to them.
